Bacviet Shiprepair replaced S-Band radar magnetron M1555 for JRC JMA-9132-SA on MV MARIANNE STOEGER at Cam Pha anchorage, restoring full radar operation.
Project Overview
Bacviet Shiprepair has recently completed the replacement of the S-Band radar magnetron on board the MV MARIANNE STOEGER, a bulk carrier sailing under the flag of Liberia.
The work was performed while the vessel was safely anchored at Cam Pha anchorage, Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam, during the vessel’s loading operation.

Cam Pha Anchorage and Bacviet Capability
Cam Pha anchorage is located in Quang Ninh Province, in proximity to Hon Gai and Cai Lan ports.
This area is one of the key anchorages for coal export and bulk cargo operations in Northern Vietnam.

The vessel’s navigation equipment had reported unstable radar signal output and reduced transmission performance, which affected long-range detection.
Following inspection, the S-Band radar magnetron was determined to have reached its service life limit and required replacement.

The replacement was carried out by Bacviet’s certified marine electronic engineers in accordance with the manufacturer’s technical manual.
