REPLACEMENT ANCHOR CHAIN FROM BITTER END IN CAM PHA VIETNAM

The mentioned vessel was built 2011 and is sailing under the flag of Egypt, two length anchor chainz STBD from the bitter end need replacement with attended LR Surveyor.

How to replacement Anchor Chain?
Before the works carry out on board, Bacviet Shiprepair Company has issued "Procedure of replacement Anchor Chain from Bitter End" to submit a repair proposal for Class LR approval:
Procedure for replacement STBD 02 length anchor chainz from bitter end:
- Open the manhole of the chain locker, ventilation within 12 hours before the works starting in side (Ship carries out).
- Supply light inside chain locker (Ship supplies).
- Arrange a barge to reach the Vessel alongside at Cam Pha anchorage and fasten it at workplace position.
- Arrange all necessary materials, equipment such as wire ropes, shackles, chain blocks ... etc.
- Slowly drop STBD anchor and chain to the barge by the Windlass Winch until can open the pin of the cable clench.
-  Lock the remaining chain by chain compressor and wire rope from the Windlass drum.
- Open the end pin of the cable clench.
- Slowly pull up the remaining of the chain from the chain locker by Windlass and slowly pull down the chain to the barge (use wire rope cable and windlass drum for pull down).
- Dismantle the connecting link of the chain from 2 lengths of the end.
- Installing new 2 chains at the barge and lead sealed the pin of the connecting link.
- Use the Windlass to pull up all the chain and anchor from the Barge.
- Use a chain block to move the end of the chain to the cable clench.
- Install the end pin.
- Final checking by visual.
